Site workes fine, but menu items do not show as expected

Hi and thanx for a very nice extension,
I am having a small problem and I guess I am doing something wrong.

Having 2 different domains pointing to same joomla installation.
Have set up VD with domain1 as default and domain2 to point to a specific menu and an item on that menu.
Plugin is set to No, point to a menu item for Change only template.

When goint to domain1.com it works fine and all is as expected.
When going to domain2.com the correct page is shown, but the menu associated to this page is not shown. Have set the specific menu to show only for that menu under module settings. Have also changed all other menues so they are no t to show when this page is shown.

Going directly to the page with the correct itemid and articleid works fine (domain2.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32&Itemid=29)

What am I doing wrong? For me it seems as if the parameter for itemid is not set (sent) when going to domain2.com
